2025 Team Kits
Most teams in the J.League have announced their official match uniforms for 2025. JSoccer is excited to provide a full rundown of all the new kits. This article covers shirts for J1 teams. An article on J2 and J3 shirts will follow soon.
The description of each shirt is factual and no "comment" has been made, as such. Check "X" hashtag #JLeagueShirts2025 for more comment and opinion on each shirt - as always the designs are polarizing for some, and those collarbone sponsors are almost universally disliked. Below, though, just the facts! Welcome to a new season, and new shirts!
There are 20 teams taking part in each of the J.League's three divisions, this year. Although nothing has been decided officially, it appears that the J.League wants to wait a bit longer before expanding J3 any further, and aims to keep the current 20/20/20 structure for at least a few years. Of course, this is a temporary compromise with the officially "amateur" JFL, in order to relegate teams that have already achieved J.League status back into the fourth division of the league pyramid. Y.S.C.C. Yokohama and Iwate Grulla Morioka drop back to the JFL this year, replaced by Kochi and Tochigi City. Further expansion of the J3 will probably be put off until there are at least 28 teams that could make up two prospective 14-team leagues: (presumably J3-East and J3-West).
Most teams have released some photo, graphic or illustration of their 2025 uniforms, but we have yet to locate usable graphics for a few of the teams (most notably, Sanfrecce Hiroshima). With those few exceptions, JSoccer presents, the J.League's fashion lineup for 2025.

Albirex Niigata stick with Adidas, and also continue with that classic stripes look and away with blue trim is also the status quo.
Kashima Antlers remain with Nike, but a different "flashy" design for the home shirt. The white away shirt has a bold solid bar across the front to help break it up / highlight their long-time sponsor. Of note, the club emblem and Nike "swoosh" are higher than last season, where they belong!
Avispa Fukuoka continue with Yonex, and their classic home colours with faint stripes and go with grey for the away strip.

Shonan Bellmare - again with Penalty making their kit - have a bold, patterned home green (of course) and an understated white away shirt. As always, it will likely be one of the most limited (and therefore sought-after) shirts of 2025.
Cerezo Osaka have returned to Mizuno after a few years with Puma, and have gone with their classic pink at home, and white away, with some underlying patterns in the fabric.
Kawasaki Frontale have stayed with Puma, and their home and away colours are standard, and understated this season.

Fagiano Okayama enter J1 for the first time with a classy home red (white sleeves) and white away. Welcome to the big time!
Nagoya Grampus - in Mizuno - show us some subtle swirling patterns in their classic home and away colours.
Gamba Osaka - in another year with Hummel after their break with Umbro - have the classic blue and black stripes at home ('tho some variation in those stripes) and a classic away white with a single stripe down the left side. The unique QR code remains on the shirt.

Yokohama F.Marinos stay with Adidas (slightly bigger logo for them, as it is around the football world) and their classic simple design/colours.
Urawa Reds have gone with a central team emblem (and Nike "swoosh" ) in otherwise plain red and white, home and away designs.
Kyoto Sanga - with Puma - are "quartered" in something different for them. The classic purple - of course - at home, and white away.

Shimizu S-Pulse return to J1 with their standard orange home and white away shirts, supplied by Puma.
FC Tokyo seem reluctant to go with stripes but the colours are consistent. New Balance are the supplier, Tokyo Gas the sponsor.
Vissel Kobe give us a bold diagonal "sash" on their 30th Anniversary shirts. Crimson home, white away, supplied by local Kobe company Asics, of course. Four stars suit the shirt, positioned just above the badge.

Tokyo Verdy stick with something very similar to previous seasons Athleta shirts for in their second season back in J1. Classic colours.
Yokohama FC return to J1, sticking with Puma and their classic colours. Subliminal patterns abound.
Machida Zelvia bring us their Adidas designs, simple, but effective with those side pannels. Blue home, white away.

Kashiwa Reysol bring us a simple black upper with a yellow lower quadrant, and the classic Hitachi sponsor. Supplied by Yonex,
Sanfrecce Hiroshima have a patterned squares design (reminiscent of Frontale's "bath tiles" of last season?) and have raised the "swoosh" and their emblem to where it should be this season.
